<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door assembly which can minimize the space required for installing the door and be used in a limited space. SOLUTION: This door assembly includes a door frame 13 demarcating an opening and a door 10, wherein the door has quadrangular first panel 11 and second panel. The first panel is rotatably installed in the door frame to be pivoted between the open position and the close position. The second panel 12 is connected to the first panel to be pivoted with the first panel, arranged in parallel to the first panel or within the same plane as the first panel, and moved between the retract position where the second panel is adjacent to the side of the first panel and the elongation position where the second panel is separated from the first panel in the direction of the flat surface of the panel within the panel plane to the first panel. The door assembly is so constructed that the first panel is moved from the open position to the close position and the second panel is moved from the retract position to the elongation position to cover the opening demarcated by the door frame.</p> |
