PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen type telephone set that can write contents of a phone call on a memo and where its microphone cannot pickup a noise due to vibration resulting from taking notes of the phone call and a voice sounded from a speaker and contents of the memo can be stored in a memory in addition to writing on a paper pad. SOLUTION: A microphone 52 for voice input is provided to an end opposite to a pen point, a vibration absorbing material 60 is placed between the pen point and the microphone 52, a speaker 53 (530) is provided to a pen cap 220 at the pen point side or that is a separate body. The pen type telephone set is also provided with an acceleration sensor 23 and a CPU 30 that obtain a moving locus of the pen point, the CPU 30 that recognizes a character based on the obtained moving locus, and a memory 35 that stores the recognized character.
