PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle equipped with a lightning protective function, capable of preventing damages due to lightning to communications equipment connected to a communications line. SOLUTION: This receptacle includes a power connecting terminal 21 for taking in an external power supply, a receptacle 2 for outputting the power supply taken in from the power connecting terminal 21, a telephone connecting terminal 31 for taking in signals of an external line, a modular jack 3 for outputting the signals taken in from the telephone connecting terminal 31, a first arrester 41 provided between the power connecting terminal 21 and the receptacle 2, a second arrester 42 provided between the telephone connecting terminal 31 and the modular jack 3, and a bypass line B for bypassing the lightning surge voltage between the first arrester 41 and the second arrester 42.
