PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aliphatic polyester film having gas barrier properties, which is excellent in transparency and flexing resistance effective as a film for general purpose packaging, and excellent in running property at the time of film processing and gas barrier properties after a running of the film in contact with parts of film-processing devices. SOLUTION: A base film contains, as a main component, an aliphatic polyester wherein a repeating unit is represented by a formula: -O-CHR-CO-, wherein R is a hydrogen or 1-3C alkyl group. The gas barrier film is formed by laminating an aluminum oxide-based deposited layer on the least one side of the base film. A specific gravity of the deposited layer is 2.70-3.30 g/cm3.
