PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make manufacture possible simply and inexpensively with a corrugated board folded down and at the same time to improve cushioning effect for articles to be packaged. SOLUTION: A corner pad is such a one wherein the longitudinal direction of long hollow parts arranged side by side at the inside of a corrugated board is made to be a hollow shaft 1 and a corrugated board base 4 approximately in a rectangular board shape having a vertical side 2 being in parallel with the hollow shaft 1 and a horizontal side 3 being at a right angle to the hollow shaft 1 is folded down for forming, and a square tubelike part having a bottom face 6, both of side faces 7 and an upper face 8 is formed by bending the corrugated board base 4 at creases 5 in a plural number running along the horizontal side 3, a wall part 11 is provided, extending from the upper end of the side face 7a on one side, while incisions 9 are provided, running along the upper and the lower end edges of the side face 7, a section between the upper and the lower incisions 9 is made to be a reinforcement part 10, and the reinforcement part 10 is cut and bent toward the inside along the incisions 9 and the upper face 8 and the bottom face 6 are supported tensely therewith.
