PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce memory accessing by preventing generation cycle of time information from being broken off in generating (inserting) information except time information at each timing in time information generation cycles at the time of encoding CD-R, etc. SOLUTION: This sub-code data generation circuit is provided with a generation part 51 for automatically generating Adr 0, 1 sub-code Q data which are time information, and generation parts 52, 53, 54 for automatically generating Adr 2, 3, 5 sub-code Q data which are information other than the time information, and operates them individually. And, the sub-code generation circuit is configured so that while keeping the generation cycle in the above generation part 51, the data generated by the above generation parts 52, 53, 54 are inserted.
