PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence observing method and device of simple constitution capable of superposing a fluorescent image of an observing object on a usual image to conduct observation clearly discriminatedly. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an illumination light source 11, illumination optical systems 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, image forming optical systems 1, 2, 4, an excitation filter 13, and a barrier filter 19 and is constituted to have transmitted lights in one side or both sides out of a wave length side shorter than an excited wave length of a fluorescent material, and a wave length longer than the most intensive fluorescence wave length, when the filter 13 and the filter 19 are overlapped.
