PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material and an image forming method showing little changes in treatment or in photographic property during storage. SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a supporting body, and contains a compd. expressed by the formula of (R)2-B-Ar-CH2-(L)n-PUG. In the image forming method, the silver halide photographic sensitive material is treated in the presence of peroxides. In the formula, each R is independently a hydroxy group, alkoxy group, aryloxy group or an aryl group, where the two R groups may form a bond with each other to form a ring, Ar is a substd. or unsubstd. aryl group or a heterocyclic group, L is a connecting group, PUG is a photographically useful group, n is an integer 0 to 3, and when R is a hydroxy group, the compd. of the formula may form a triboroxane structure by dehydration of three molecules.
