PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic rotary machine, a rotor using a permanent magnet which increases its rotating torque in proportion to the magnitude of stator current even if cogging torque is reduced, and to provide an application equipment of the electromagnetic rotary machine wherein the electromagnetic rotary machine is used. SOLUTION: On the external surface of an inrevolvable rotor 1, inrevolvable main permanent magnet pieces 3 are formed in the circumferential direction of the rotor 1. In each permanent magnet piece 3, the curvature of the external surface is smaller than that of the inner surface in contact with a yoke 2. In both end faces in the direction along a rotary shaft of the external surface of the yoke 2, inrevolvable end face permanent magnets 4 are formed in the circumferential direction of the yoke 2. The inrevolvable end face permanent magnets 4 have their external faces projecting more than those of the inrevolvable main permanent magnet pieces 3, so that the surface magnetic flux density of the inrevolvable rotor 1 may be distributed like a sinewave, and there may be no leakage of the magnetic flux of the rotating magnetic field of the stator along the rotary shaft at the places where the surface magnetic flux density of the inrevolvable rotor 1 is low.
