PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotational speed detecting apparatus in which a trouble due to the tensile force of a cable is not generated and in which a circuit board can be fixed without using a potting agent. SOLUTION: A detecting coil 2 is wound on the tip part in the tube part 3a of a coil bobbin 3. A flat boardlike support base 5 is installed integrally at a base part 3b so as to protrude on the side opposite to the tube part 3a. A coil terminal 4 and a terminal pin 10 are inserted into, and passed through, a coil-terminal insertion and passage hole 5a and a terminal-pin insertion and passage hole 5b from the opposite side of the mounting face of a circuit board 5, and they are soldered respectively to the mounting face of the circuit board 5. Thereby, the circuit board 5 is fixed to, and supported by, the support base 9. Then, the tensile force of a cable 8 is not applied directly to the circuit board 5 but to the support base 9. As a result, the circuit board 5 can be fixed stably without using a potting agent as different from conventional cases. In addition, since a resin potting operation is not required, it is possible to improve the bad of operability due to the handling difficulty of a potting agent.
