PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the structure advantageous for the high speed rotation also for the reliability in the life by providing a spindle cover for deciding the disk height and the rotational center of the spindle utilizing the constant position preloading system before the head loading and providing an actuator cover for fixing a pivot shaft of the actuator after the head loading. SOLUTION: Inner rings of a bearing 12 at the motor side and a bearing 13 at the opposite side of motor are fixed to a spindle shaft 2, and a thrust preload spring 14 is arranged on an outer ring of one bearing to apply the thrust preload, and this force is transmitted to the spindle shaft 2 thereby transmitted up to the outer ring of another bearing, and the preload of the constant pressure is applied. The spindle motor 15 is arranged at the outside of a housing. By dividing a housing cover to the spindle cover 9 supporting the spindle and the actuator cover supporting the actuator, the spindle cover 9 is mounted before the loading of the actuator.
