PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure reworkability to release a polarizing plate from a cell in a state where an adhesive is remaining stuck to the polarizing plate at the time when the polarizing plate is desired to be released without loading a burden on the cell by utilizing a polymer with a reactive functional group or a polymer compounded with a compound having a reactive functional group as a principal component of an adhesive composition. SOLUTION: When a liquid crystal display device, provided with a liquid crystal cell 1 equipped with a liquid crystal layer on the surface of a substrate via a transparent electrode and an alignment layer, and polarizing plates 10, 12 stuck to both surfaces of the substrate is manufactured, a polymer with a reactive functional group or a polymer compounded with a compound having a reactive functional group as a principal component of adhesive layers 22, 24 is utilized in the adhesive layers 22, 24 used to bind the substrates and the polarizing plates 10, 12. In this case, hydroxyl, carbonyl, carboxyl, an acyl and an amino groups can be mentioned as reactive functional groups. A glass transition temperature of the polymer which is the principal component of the adhesive layers is <=20 deg.C. |
