OPERATION METHOD OF DISPERSION AUTHENTICATION SERVER WITHOUT NEEDING ADDITIONAL KEY MANAGEMENT

PURPOSE: A method is to solve the bottle neck phenomenon of an authentication server in a dispersion environment by reducing computation overhead and communication overhead of the authentication server without additional key management cost. CONSTITUTION: In the method, the authentication server is constructed by a number of platforms and only one platform(reliable platform) has a private key of the authentication server and the other platforms(empty platforms) are constructed only to relieve the computation overhead of the reliable platform. The reliable platform is constructed to be able to use the computation ability of the empty platforms, and a server aided secret computation(SASC) protocol is applied for the concrete operation. Therefore, the stability and the performance of the authentication server in the dispersion environment is improved by reducing the communication overhead and the computation overhead of the authentication server.
