<p>A pour spout fitment applicator comprises a fitment holder (9) oscillatable between a fitment-receiving position and a fitment-delivering position for bringing a fitment F to a hole H through a top panel P of a carton C. A fitment-pusher (10) pushes the fitment F from behind the holder (9) to press the fitment F into a final position in the hole H. The fitments F are delivered one-by-one to the holder (9) from a fixed chute (4) via a chute (8) oscillatable with the holder (9) and arranged to receive a fitment (F) from the chute (4) while the holder (9) is in its fitment-receiving position. In that position, a piston-and-cylinder device (24) pushes with its piston rod (25) against the fitment F to ensure that the fitment is in the correct position in the holder (9) ready for delivery to the hole H.</p> |
