PURPOSE: A retrieval system is intended to enable to listen directly with a telephone by retrieving accurately and promptly a desired song among a large number of songs recorded in an automatic response system(ARS) using the telephone. CONSTITUTION: A retrieval system is to retrieve songs recorded in ARS using a telephone, a handset, a button and a screen. According to the retrieval system, a music information provider makes a database of musics and images and stores them into a storing apparatus of ARS, and a user can retrieve accurately and promptly a title or a singer of a song to listen or a part of a first paragraph of a song to retrieve with an initial sound consonant and initial sound vowel retrieval method using a voice recognition program(CTI) or a button of the telephone. If an accompaniment is provide like a singing room, the accompaniment and the song sound are recorded in ARS temporarily and the user can listen. The system can be connected electrically with an audio/video system by installing a connection jack or a terminal(connector) to connect a signal connection line to the telephone.
