METHOD FOR ESTIMATING CARRIER FREQUENCY OFFSET USING REFERENCE SIGNAL WITH REPEATED SIGNALS IN OFDM SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for estimating carrier frequency offset using a reference signal with repeated signals in OFDM system is provided to improve the offset estimation by using a methode of time extension. CONSTITUTION: The method for estimating carrier frequency offset using a reference signal with repeated signals in OFDM system comprises the steps of: composing i-order block by binding side blocks within 1OFDM symbol after defining a minimum signal part generated from the 1OFDM reception symbol as the side block; performing i-order carrier frequency offset estimation to obtain the i-order carrier frequency offset; performing the first order carrier frequency offset estimation; performing the extended carrier frequency offset estimation; and estimating the first carrier frequency offset value as the carrier frequency offset value if the first carrier frequency offset value is remained by the extended carrier frequency offset estimation.
