PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for purification of organochlorine compound contaminated water wherein a fixation agent having high purifying capability of a solved organochlorine compound is used. SOLUTION: As a fixation agent of an organochlorine compound which is dissolved in contaminated water, a block copolymer of a chemical structure rational formula: A(A-B) or B(A-B) comprising a polystyrene block A and a polybutadiene block B is used. Organochlorine compound contaminated water is brought in solid-liquid contact with the fixation agent comprising many granules having a large contact front surface, and the solved organochlorine compound is fixed to the fixation agent.
