PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide welding resin compositions which are proportionately excellent in heat stability, external appearance of molded articles, mechanical strength and vibration weldability and are suitable for hollow products which can be obtained by the vibration welding of two or more molded articles after melt molding. SOLUTION: Vibration welding resin compositions comprise (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin and (B) 0.1-50 pts.wt. layer silicate which is a swelling layer silicate and vibration welding resin compositions comprise (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin, (B) 0.1-50 pts.wt. layer silicate which is a swelling layer silicate, and (C) 10-150 pts.wt. glass fibers having an average fiber diameter of 5-15μm. Further, the layer silicate (B) is the one in which exchangeable cationic ions present between layers have been exchanged with organic onium ions, and the thermoplastic resin (A) is at least one resin selected from a polyamide resin, a polyester resin, and a polyphenylene sulfide resin.
