PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a damper device to a place whose installation space is restricted like a sky parking place. SOLUTION: A damper plate 11 is urged vertically downward in parallel with a plate surface due to its own weight so as to close vent opening parts 28. Then, an engaging device 14 engages the damper plate 11 above the opening parts 28 so as to open the vent opening parts 28. A piston 15 operates under gas pressure. The engaging device 14 interlocks with the piston 15. When the piston 15 moves to an operative state in which the gas pressure operates from an inoperative state in which the gas pressure does not operate, the engaging state of the engaging device 14 is released so that the damper plate 11 moves (vertically downward) so as to close the vent opening parts 28.
