PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the very convenient and innovative floor carpet mat for an automobile. SOLUTION: This is the floor carpet mat for an automobile capable of laying the front or rear face of a mat body M under foot of the seat of automobile and using it as a foot rest by providing a water-proof resin layer 2 on the nearly entire rear face of the mat body M in which the nearly entire front face is constituted of a carpet texture 1. By arranging the carpet texture 1 on the periphery end edge of the resin layer 2, the resin layer 2 can not be seen or be hardly seen on the periphery end edge of the mat body M, when the carpet texture 1 of the mat body M is laid as the foot rest.
