PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the whole weight of the power steering system by reducing the structure around the torque sensing means. SOLUTION: The structure around the rotary type servo valve as the torque sensing means used for the power steering system is structured to include an input shaft 2 connected to a steering handle, a rotor 21 as a first torque sensing member integrated with the input shaft 2, a valve sleeve 1 as a second torque sensing means that rotates relative to the rotor 21, an output shaft mechanically connected to the valve sleeve 1, which is integrally connected to a pinion gear 55 that constitutes a steering gear mechanism, and a torsion bar 3 that connects the output shaft 5 and the input shaft 2. A slit 15 is formed at one end of the valve sleeve 1. An engaging protrusion 51 fitted to the slit 15 is subjected to cold forging to be integrated with the output shaft 5 at one end thereof so as to protrude in the radial direction or axial direction. |
