Gas jetted from the gas exhaust nozzle 321 of the inflator 33 at the time of the impact of a vehicle is guided by the gas deflection face 41 to flow diagonally toward the tip upper part from the base end lower part of the air bag 4 so that the tip upper part of the air bag 4 most distant from the gas exhaust nozzle 321 can be inflated positively and rapidly.
