PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a highly accurate detection of the volume of dust in a dust collection chamber or the volume of dust and a closed state in an air duct regardless of variations in a power source voltage value or an input characteristic of a motor. SOLUTION: A current sensor 4a detects a current flowing through a blower motor 2 within a specified time immediately after the turning ON of an operation switch at an operating part 8 and a power source voltage detection means 6 detects a power source voltage from the current. A threshold correction means 7 corrects a threshold for detecting the volume of dust of a dust collection part and a threshold for detecting a closed state in an air path based on the power source voltage. An output of the current sensor 4a is compared with the threshold for detecting the volume of dust and the threshold for detecting the closed state in the air path to display the volume of dust of the dust collection part and the closed sate in the air path on a display part 8 based on the results of the comparison.
