PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a coating composition for forming a recorded image receiving layer which ink printed by the ink jet recording method easily permeats and fixes firmly and also an ink jet recording sheet on which the recorded image receiving layer is formed. SOLUTION: A coating composition for an ink jet recorded image receiving layer contains resin in which at least a 0.5-99.5 wt.% of one kind of acrylic acid derivative or acrylamide derivative selected out of a hydrophilic monomer, a monomer with a hydroxyl group and a cationic monomer with an amino group and 0.5-99.5 wt.% N-vinyl acetoamide are graft copolymerized with 0.1-50 wt.% macro-monomer polymerized with olefin. A recorded image receiving layer containing a coating composition is formed on the surface of a base sheet of an ink jet recording sheet. |
