PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gasket for building capable of securing airtightness and watertightness, buildings, and its execution by restricting deformation in width direction and making the work easier without changing the width dimension of an elastic deformable body. SOLUTION: This is a joint gasket 5 retaining airtightness or the like by a hollow elastic deformable body 6. It comprises a thick portion 8 formed at the upper portion of a peripheral wall in height direction, a partition wall 11 dividing and forming a pair of upper and lower hollow chambers 12 in the inner height direction of an elastic deformable body 6, a communicating hole 13 drilled in a partition wall 11 communicating a pair of hollow chambers 12, a flow hole 14 drilled in a lower portion of a side wall of the elastic deformable body 6, a tube 15 to be inserted to the flow hole 14, a portable aspirator connected to the tube 15, and a valve attached to the tube 15. And the elastic deformable body 6 is pressure-reduced in height direction during work, and compression in the width direction of the elastic deformable body 6 is restricted.
