PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the variation of the engine speed irrespective of varying period of the engine speed. SOLUTION: The variation amount and period of the engine speed are calculated on the basis of the sensed engine speed (Steps 103 and 104), and from the obtained variation amount, the correcting amount for injection amount is decided, and the frequency of making injections with the corrected injection amount is decided from the engine speed and the varying period (Step 107), and upon executing injections in the decided frequency with the corrected injection amount, injection is conducted with the uncorrected injection amount (Steps 108, 109, 110). In Step 107, the frequency is set in such a way as smaller with shorter varying period and lower engine speed so that no correcting amount is given involving a phase shift relative to the variation of the engine speed.
