PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a product having little gel without impairing productivity by simulating a gel forming mechanism in combination with a number-of-gels distribution obtained based on input data, a consumption energy distribution and a flowability distribution, and predicting a gel formation. SOLUTION: The gel formation-predicting system 2 executes calculations in parallel with a number-of-defects calculating means 4, a consumption energy distribution calculating means 5 and a flowability calculating means 6 based on input conditions set to a data input means, and outputs respective distribution data of number-of-gels distribution, consumption energy distribution and flowability distribution of a calculated result, namely, a simulation result. Since these data predict a result when a melt kneading and granulating apparatus 1 is driven according to the same input conditions, if the obtained number-of-gels distribution and the consumption energy distribution predict for example, an unpreferable state the system 1 repeats a simulation so as to obtain an optimum result by altering the input conditions.
