<p>The invention relates to a kitchen slicer (10) for cutting cuttable products such as fruit, vegetable, etc. The inventive slicer comprises a base (12) to which a blade (26), disposed on an edge of a discharge plate (23), is fixed. An exchangeable insert (14) can be fixed to the base (12) in different positions to adjust different slice thicknesses. Said insert (14) forms a guide surface (30) on which the cuttable product can be moved towards the blade (16). The various positions include a safety position in which a face (32) of the insert (14) is disposed adjacent the blade (26) in such a manner that the guide surface (30) is at the same level or higher than the blade (26). The insert (14), at its rear face (32), has at least one projection (50) that is below the blade (26) in the safety position.</p> |
