It consists of a covering 2 made from flexible material, with four zones 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d which can be adjusted by eight guide cords 3 in order to fit it to the size of the upper half of a motor vehicle 1, irrespective of the model, and provided with elastic 8 for securing to the bodywork. A sheet 9 of flexible material, with four seams 9a, is joined to it, creating two longitudinal conduits 6 in the central axis of the covering 2 and on the inside, this housing four foam-rubber spacers 5 which separate the covering 2 from the roof of the motor vehicle 1 and serve as guide for a covered guide cable 4 whose two ends enter via the front part 2m of the covering 2, exiting via the rear part 2n, and being placed in a bag 7 secured, as is the guide cable 4, permanently to the inner face of the boot lid.
