PURPOSE: A steering system of a vehicle solves a problem of the lightening of a steering force on a high speed running by mounting a cylinder on the outside of a middle shaft. CONSTITUTION: A middle shaft(17) is mounted in a cylinder(20). A piston(22) elastically supported by a spring(26) is mounted in the cylinder(20). An oil inlet(18) and oil outlets(24) are formed on the outside of the cylinder(20). On a high speed running, if an oil quantity discharged to an oil inlet(18) is increased, a rotation torque for rotating a universal joint is increased. On a low speed running, a piston closes a hole on a left oil outlet(24) such that the oil is discharged through a right oil outlet(24). On the high speed running, a hole on a left oil outlet(24) is opened such that the oil is discharged through the left oil outlet(24). Thus, on a high speed driving, a vehicle is stably and safely driven by improving a steering force thereof.
