PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tempo controller which is capable of changing a tempo value to the desired tempo value meeting a user's will with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A CPU 101 emits a light emission signal to a driver circuit 112 to trigger an LED 110 of a light emitting section 111 to emit light. Decision as to whether a reactor 120 is detected or not is executed by comparing the digital value of the light receiving signal of a photosensor 113 of a light receiving section 114 outputted by an A/D converter 115 with a predetermined threshold. Tempo information is acquired by clocking the period after the reactor 120 is detected before the reactor is detected next. The changing of the tempo based on the tempo information is executed by making decision as to whether the reactor 120 is detected or not at the timing at which the change is to be made and is executed only when the reflector is detected at this timing. The CPU 101 executes this control by executing the program stored in a ROM 102 while using a ROM 103 for work. |
