摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent alignment disorder of a liquid crystal layer by forming a black matrix layer with sufficient light shielding property and without protrusion on a color filter substrate in a counter source structure in which source bus lines and gate bus lines are provided on different substrates. SOLUTION: On a transparent substrate 101, CF layers 102, 103, 104 and a source bus line 105 are formed and a BM layer 106 is formed with back exposure by using the CF layer 102 as a mask. Exposure energy is controlled to make thickness of the BM layer 106 on the source bus line equal to or thinner than that of the CF layer and preferably >=400 nm. In the case that the BM layer 106 overlaps a part of an edge of the CF layer, the thickness of the overlapped part is made equal to or thinner than that of a central part of the CF layer. On the other substrate, pixel electrodes, gate bus lines, thin film transistors, reference lines or the like are provided.
