PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display device which is capable of making diversified displays at a low cost. SOLUTION: Digital time display and analog time display are executed according to display signals in a fluorescent display tube 101. The light source light of this fluorescent display tube 101 is outputted to a pattern display section 102. Figures 106 of '1' to '12', an outer peripheral circle 107 and an inner peripheral circle 108 formed by light scattering section are displayed in the pattern display section 102. As a result, the respective displays of the fluorescent display tube 101 and the pattern display section 102 are displayed in superposition and the diversified displays are made.
