A reinforcing yarn (1) for stiffening or technical textile intended to be incorporated in a textile base. It comprises a synthetic or artificial core yarn (2) of the first coating fibres (3) deposited around the core yarn (2). The first coating fibres (3) are adhesively bonded to the core yarn (2). The invention also relates to the process for the manufacture of this reinforcing yarn (1).
