<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire electronic program information. SOLUTION: This program guide device includes a tuner 50 which selects a channel, a program guide information detection part 54 which extracts program guide information, a memory part 56 which stores program guide information through channels detected by the program guide information detection part 54, a key input part 58 for inputting a user operation instruction, a microprocessor 60 which is so programmed as to generate a program list based upon the program guide information in response to the instruction and then control the tuner 50 to search for an accessible channel, and a character signal generation part 62, which generates a character signal corresponding to a list of programs generated by the microprocessor 60 and provides it on a screen.</p> |
