PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find whether a water pipe hits against an existing sewer or road facilitates, etc., by showing the width size in response to its real size for a joint part of water pipes. SOLUTION: When a user inputs the road data, sewer data, water pipe symbol data, joint part symbol data, name text data, etc., a CPU 1 records these input data in each relevant recording area of a hard disk device 4. Then the user indicates the display of a design drawing, the CPU 1 reads the sewer data, water pipe symbol data, joint part symbol data and name text data out of the device 4 to synthesize them as a water piping design drawing and shows this drawing on a display 9. Then the width of a joint part symbol corresponds to the real external size of the width (external diameter) of an actual joint part and accordingly the user can easily estimate whether the joint part hits against a sewer, etc.
