PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head for magneto-optical recording in which temperature rise is suppressed even if a modulation frequency is high, and reduction of generated magnetic field caused by reduction of saturation magnetic flux density of cores accompanied by suppressed temperature rise. SOLUTION: In a magnetic head 1 for magneto-optical recording provided with a coil 21 having a first coil pattern consisting of a film of a conductive material, the coil 21 is further provided with first patterns 33a-33d for radiation consisting of films of conductive materials formed around the first coil pattern, and a radiation member in which when the minimum radius of the outermost periphery of the first coil pattern is assumed to R1, a total area Sh1 of the first patterns 33a-33d for radiation formed in a range in which the distance from a center point X1 of the first coil pattern is 2R1 or less is 1.5 times as much as a total area Sc1 of the first coil pattern, and adhering directly or holding a heat conductive member between them to the first patterns 33a-33d for radiation.
