PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the representation of the particle size distribution of whole powder samples by trace amounts of samples in the case of sampling trace amounts of samples from a predetermined amount of powder samples and measuring and analyzing the particle size distribution of fine particles and to enable the automatic performance of the sampling. SOLUTION: A powder sampling device 4 is constituted with a collecting rod 43 formed of a collecting tube 43a and an extruding rod 43b movably inserted into the collecting tube 43a. Here, the collecting tube 43a is formed of a capillary. The collecting tube 43a is automatically inserted into powder samples to collect the samples in the collecting tube 43a by sequence control. The collected samples are extruded outside the collecting tube 43a by the movements of the extruding rod 43b.
