PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe switch with a simple structure keeping a switching- off condition in an initial unused state, capable of being switched on and off by fingers of a hand holding it and keeping a switching-on condition, as for a hand carry electric appliance. SOLUTION: This switch is composed of a lock lever 1 which turns through a fixed angle with its front end part as a fulcrum and a switch lever 2 energized toward the fulcrum 9 by a spring 4 mounted to the lock lever 1. The switch is so structured that it can not be switched on with the switch lever 2 moved forward and can be switched on and off by pulling the switch lever 2 by a finger and operating the lock lever 1, and it is also so structured that the switch lever 2 is pulled further backward, the lock lever 1 is engaged with the switch lever 2 with the switch switched on, and this condition can be kept.
