PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processor which is capable of efficiently executing various kinds of processing in accordance with the recording contents of a recording medium disposed in a cartridge for housing a photographic sensitive material. SOLUTION: This image processor reads the image data indicating the images which are previously recorded on an IC memory disposed in the cartridge housing this photographic film which is the object to be read and are recorded on the photographic film and various kinds of the information (step 200), determines scan conditions and printing conditions in accordance with various kinds of the read information (step 202) and executes the selection of the images to be subsequently processed (step 204), then executes fine scan under the scan conditions determined in the manner described above (steps 206 to 216). The image data obtd. by the fine scan is thereafter stored into the IC memory at need (steps 218 to 222) and after various kinds of the image processing are executed (step 224), the printing is executed under the printing conditions described above (step 226).
