PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily judge a connection state with a camera main body and to inform of the judged result. SOLUTION: A back cover part 2 as the camera additional device is attached to a camera main body 1. The back cover part 2 is equipped with a CPU 201 which is electrically connected to the main body 1 equipped with a CPU 101 controlling photographing operation through a connection terminal part so as to control recording photographing information or imprinting a film No on film. The back cover part 2 communicates with the CPU 101 and the propriety of the connection of the connection terminal part is judged and the judged result is displayed on a display part 21 in characters.
