PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an interphone from being abused to confirm the presence/ absence of a resident and also to make it possible to answer calling made by the interphone even when the resident is absent. SOLUTION: This controller has a means 41 for detecting that an operation key 21 for ringing a doorbell of an interphone is operated, a calling means 42 which calls a preliminarily set telephone number in response to the operation of the operation key 21, an electronic tone transmitting means 43 which transmits electronic tone corresponding to the doorbell to a telephone set after the telephone set receiving a call is in an on-hook state and a means 44 for performing communication control so that speech communication can be performed between the telephone set and the interphone after the telephone set receiving the call becomes an on-hook state.
