<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for information recording which can similarly encode and record a new image related to an old image which have been encoded and recorded previously and smoothly reproduce the old image and new image without spoiling the continuity of reproduced images at a join when the old image and new image are both reproduced continuously. SOLUTION: When new information to be recorded newly is encoded and recorded to DVD-R/W 1 where old information is already encoded and recorded, the old encoding parameters used to encode the old information are obtained (steps S6, S8, S10, and S11), new encoding parameters used to encode the new information are set successively to the obtained old encoding parameters (steps S14, S15, S21, S22, and S23), and the set new encoding parameters are used to encode and record the new information.</p> |
