PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a charging time, by constituting a current adjusting means for adjusting the current which flows in an external power supply of a DC/DC converter. SOLUTION: A coil L1 is inserted between a battery B1 of nickel-hydrogen or other materials and a transistor Q1, and a Schottky diode (or an ordinary silicon diode) D1 and a capacitor C1 are connected parallel to the battery B1 to structure a DC/DC converter. Also, a bypass capacitor CE is connected parallel to a current detecting resistor RE in such a way that a resonance frequency becomes sufficiently lower than the oscillating frequency of the DC/DC converter. This constitution makes an input current constant, although a battery voltage changes a charging current IB, because the battery B1 is charged with the DC/DC converter and the bypass capacitor CE is provided parallel to the current detecting resistor RE. Because a charging current more than the input current is allowed to flow, the battery B1 can be charged quickly.
