PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device capable of sealing the negative electrode chamber and the positive electrode chamber of a sodium-sulfur battery under control at preset atmosphere and contributing to the productivity improvement and low cost of the sodium-sulfur battery. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method and device, a battery constituent before sealing a negative electrode chamber and a positive electrode chamber is placed in a chamber 20 having an atmosphere adjustment means 21 capable of controlling preset atmosphere inside and a laser irradiation part 22 capable of irradiating the inside with a laser beam. In addition, the inside of the chamber 20 is controlled to preset atmosphere by the atmosphere adjustment means 21 for sealing the negative electrode chamber and the positive electrode chamber.
