<p>A continuously temperature-rising press-joining device which press-joins objects to be joined composed of the negative electrode container flange, positive-electrode container flange, and insulating ring of a sodium-sulfur battery by successively moving the objects to a press-joining chamber after the objects are vacuumized in a vacuum pressure reducing chamber preheated to a high temperature and raising the temperatures of the objects to a joining temperature in a heating chamber and forcibly cools the joined body in a cooling chamber. When this device is used, the strengths of the press-joint sections between the insulating ring and the negative and positive electrode container flanges of the sodium-sulfur battery can be improved and, at the same time, the manufacturing cost of the battery can be reduced, because the battery can be mass-produced efficiently.</p> |
