The catch plate comprises a body formed from six pairs of equal parallelograms. Each has a parallel milled slot (A:B) from 1-3mm in their side at about 2/3 of their length. At one end there is a third slot (C). The body acts as a removable retaining device when used in a dental technology piece of construction work. One of the side milled slots (either A or B) can be replaced by a hole in the side of the body.
