Compound of formula (I), wherein M represents a divalent metal, oxometal, halogenometal or hydroxymetal or 2 hydrogen atoms, A is a radical (a) or (b) which can be unsubstituted or substituted by phenoxy, naphthoxy, phenylthio or naphthylthio, X is a heteroatom selected from the group consisting of N, O or S, whereby m is 0 when X is O or S or m is 1 when X is N, Y is any substituent that is inert with respect to alkylation reagents, Z' is C2-C12alkene-NHCOOB, C2-C12alkene-OCOOB or C2-C12alkene-SCOOB, x is 1-4 and y is 0-15, whereby the sum of x and y is at the most 16 and, optionally, several groups of X, Y, Z and/or Z' can be the same or different, and B is an alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl or polyglcol or polyamine-substituted alkene group. The inventive compound is used as a colorant and pigment precursor, especially in light-sensitive compositions for color filters.
