The invention relates to a method for determining the torque (mk) of an induction machine (2). According to the invention, the space vector ( PSI k<->) of the interlinked stator flux is determined from the stator terminal voltages (u1, u2, u3) and from the stator terminal currents (i1, i2, i3) by means of integration and subsequent high-pass filtering. In addition, the torque (mk) is calculated from this space vector by multiplying with a complex correction factor (C<->). The device for carrying out the inventive method has computing elements (8, 10, 12, 14) suited therefor.
