The panel derives control commands for display points of adjacent groups from two separate strips. The display panel (4) has fixed display points (2) distributed over the panel and connected to a controller. The points are organized into mutually parallel identical groups (1) essentially perpendicular to the direction of motion of the images. The direct connections between corresponding points of adjacent groups lies in the direction of image movement. Each display point corresponds to a surface of a document, and a surface of the document corresponding to a group forms a strip (5) approximately perpendicular to the movement direction over the entire document length. Control commands for a group are derived successively from strips bounding against each other in the opposite direction to the movement. The control commands for the display points of adjacent groups are derived from two separate strips. Independent claims are also included for applications of the display panel.
